Most people are one of six personality types according to psychologist John L. Holland who developed a a theory of careers and vocational choice based upon thses personality types. This theory has been well research and has been adopted by the U.S Department of Labor as one of the classification methods for occupations.
The personalities are

The following careers are best suited for those who have a personality that is social and are interested in careers that frequently involve working with, communicating with, and teaching people. These occupations often involve helping or providing service to others and require a minimum educational equivalent of a bachelor's degree.
Secondary school teachers
Secondary school teachers teach students in one or more subjects, such as English, mathematics, or social studies at the secondary level in public or private schools. They may also be designated according to subject matter specialty.
